Māmane was inspired by the native Hawaiian tree known for its golden blossoms and enduring strength. I painted it as a celebration of beauty and resilience. The warm yellows and soft greens honor the māmane’s quiet brilliance and its rooted connection to Hawai‘i’s upland forests.
